Praxis’ Campaign Saves 12 Weeks Off Enrollment Goal For Women’s Health Vaccine Study
Praxis, a company specializing in centralized patient recruitment for clinical trials, recently provided services to a major pharmaceutical company for a national vaccine research study. The study explored an investigational vaccine for a significant female health issue. Through a combination of site efforts and a targeted, centralized recruitment program, the original enrollment goal of 26 weeks was met in just 14 weeks.
Results were monitored 24/7 using PraxisDirect® online study management technology, saving the sites and sponsor both time and money when compared to traditional paper methods. By enrolling the study early, a $10 million ROI was realized by the sponsor in a vaccine market projected to achieve multi-billion dollar sales annually.
Praxis initially conducted a thorough feasibility analysis and target audience research to develop a centralized, multi-media campaign that would capture the attention and motivate potential volunteers to respond. The marketing program included branded site materials, media and online marketing along with other tactics to generate the required response.
“The recruitment results for this study were phenomenal. The sites did an excellent job of follow-up and screening the pre-qualified candidates that were received. It is this combination of efforts-sponsor, sites, and a well-planned patient recruitment campaign-that produced successful results to help enroll this study ahead of schedule,” said David Fox, President and CEO of Praxis.
Praxis Communications, Inc., headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., provides the pharmaceutical and biotech industries with a wide range of services for patient recruitment and retention for clinical trials in North America and abroad, including patient profiling, recruitment planning, centralized fulfillment, media relations, advertising and program management.
